I mean seriously, how long do you think it would take you to make a poster of the Colosseum using letters? If you’re going to spend money on art, at least make sure that some sweat and blood was involved in making it. One year’s worth of sweat and blood. Now that’s carefully crafted.
I’m sure a lot went into making an iPad, but how many people did Apple have working on that project? The Colosseo was made by 1 man. Take that Steve Jobs. Even you need the Woz.
Cameron Moll definitely worked hard on this and it shows. I couldn’t even imagine what kind of focus it takes to complete a project like this, but my respect goes out to Cameron Moll for creating the Colosseo.

If the Cameron Moll and his Colosseo don’t inspire you then I don’t know what to tell you. How many people do you know that could dedicate an entire year to recreating the Colosseum using typography? That is dedication and the Colosseo is a symbol of that.
Hang the Colosseo on your wall so that you and your guests can be inspired to create your own masterpiece. It doesn’t have to be the Colosseo, but try it once in your life.
